Golden Stave funding will help transform Be Centre’s parent waiting room into a trauma-informed sanctuary for parents and carers while their children receive Play Therapy. For families navigating domestic violence, homelessness, grief, abuse and other trauma, this space can provide an important moment of safety and support.

KidsXpress

Helping children express what words sometimes cannot.

Funding will assist with the purchase of new musical instruments for KidsXpress’ therapy programs, helping children with emotional regulation and recovery from trauma.

NORO Music Therapy

Using music to build communication, confidence and connection.

Golden Stave funding will help purchase musical instruments to assist children with autism participating in Music Therapy programs at the Golden Stave NORO Music Therapy Centre at Kingswood, NSW.

Redkite

Bringing music, creativity and comfort into hospital rooms.

Golden Stave will continue its support of Redkite’s music therapy hospital program in NSW, including playing and listening to music, songwriting, performing and learning instruments during what can be a traumatic hospital stay.

The Shepherd Centre

Helping deaf children develop listening and communication skills.

Funding will support the Music Matters parent education program, run by music therapists and speech pathologists to help parents support the listening development and communication skills of deaf children.

Little Wings

Helping regional children reach life-saving medical treatment.

Golden Stave funding will help fuel Little Wings aircraft, connecting regional families with essential medical treatment during critical periods of healthcare and early intervention, including regional and Aboriginal communities.

Central Coast Kids in Need

Supporting families when specialist treatment means leaving home.

Funding will help Central Coast families with seriously ill children meet travel and accommodation costs when specialised treatment requires them to travel to Sydney or Newcastle hospitals.

Clown Doctors Australia

Bringing laughter, courage and connection to children in hospital.

Golden Stave support will help fund Clown Doctor visits to Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick for sick and vulnerable children hospitalised with chronic illness, injuries, palliative care and other serious conditions.

Camp Breakaway

Giving children with autism a supported holiday experience.

Funding will support a three-day school holiday respite program for children with autism, including accommodation, meals, specialist staffing, sensory-friendly activities and support resources.

Freedom Solutions Australia

Giving children the freedom to ride.

Golden Stave funding will assist with the purchase of five customised bikes for children with disability, creating opportunities for safe, sociable recreation alongside siblings, parents and friends.

Southern Cross Kids’ Camps – Illawarra

Creating happy memories and hope for children who have experienced adversity.

Funding will support the Illawarra kids camp, giving children referred through welfare and social services the opportunity to experience fun, laughter, friendship and a positive break from difficult circumstances.

Eat Up Australia

Helping make sure hungry children have lunch at school.

Golden Stave funding will support one year of fuel for refrigerated delivery van “Charlie”, helping deliver approximately 152,000 lunches to children experiencing food insecurity at schools across metropolitan Sydney.

The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation

Helping children build the literacy skills that can change their future.

Funding will support a targeted 18-week literacy program for primary school students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds who are performing below expected literacy levels.
